Season: February-April.
Skrei over 30 kg is a big possibility 

COD (Kabeljauw / Dorsch / Torsk)
Season: All year.
Codd over 20 kg is possible troughout the year.

Restrictions:
minimal size is 55 cm

COALFISH (Koolvis/ Seelaks / Sei)
Season: June-August (throughout the year). 
Coalfish up til 20 kg possible in the season.

​WOLFFISH (Zeewolf / Steinbisser / Steinbit)
Season: Whole year.
Catch on shallow water.

​HALIBUT (Heilbot / Halibut / Kveite)
Season: All year except from 20.12 until 31. march 
Big Halibut catch in august- october
Minimum seize is 84 cm and maximum size is 200 cm, Everything above or below needs to be released.

​HADDOCK (Schelvis / Schellfisch / Hyse)
Season: July-August.

​CUSK (Lom / Lump / Brosme)
Season: All year.

PLAICE (Schol / Scholle / Rødspette
Season: All year.
Catch on shallow waters

​REDFISH (Roodbaars / Rotbarsch / Uer) 
Season: 01. june - 31 august (rest of the year fishing on redfish is forbidden)
Catch on depth 100-300 meters.

MONKFISH (Zeeduivel / Seeteufel / Breiflabb)
Season: July-september.
Hard fish to catch on a rod (you accidentely have to throw your bait in it's open mouth at the seabottom) but excellent to eat

​LONG (Lang / Lange)
Season: April-june (whole year).
Deepwaterfish (200-300 meter).

We get a lot of questions about what gear to use while fishing around Loppa. There is so much for sale and everybody has his own experiences so that makes it hard for us to give a clear recommendation.
